things to do while you're rendering

i was working on a video project which was taking a long time to ingest the footage.

so i had my digital camera and i was looking at the toys on my computer when i had a goofy thought.

i wondered if i could re-create the classic giant-size x-men #1 cover using the oh-so-adorable figures that i had on proud display.

my girlfriend told me i was lame when i was working on it. then when she saw the final image she conceded that it did, in fact, look pretty cool.
