happy zipper day!

it was 2 years ago today that dad had his zipper installed.

in honor of that I would like to take a moment to mention the things that I've enjoyed since then that I am happy and thankful for.

project: nerd-baby pt. 5

i am most geeked out by this one because it's a style that i've never tried.

indy is till basically my style and krypto is very cool also, but what's more awesome than a gigantic frickin' robot semi?

first, the sketch.



then the color job. i created a technique to add photo-realistic parts while still blending them to the drawing (specifically the smoke stacks and wheels). i think that part is extra cool.



finally, the completed layout. i stretched him width-wise to make him look extra stocky. i dig it!
