i had always referred to the ® symbol as a "registered trademark".

since entering the business over 10 years ago, i have commonly heard this symbol referred to as a "circle-R."

however, a dear coworker of mine, who's been in the business a lot longer than i have and was actually responsible for helping me get my current job prefers to call these symbols "R-balls."

it makes me giggle like a nine-year-old girl every time she says it.

R-balls.
